We were the first ones in the restaurant, the first ones to order, yet 4-5 tables were served before us. We also had to ask for a plate of scones, even though all other tables had been served them as soon as they sat down. When our waiter came over to ask how everything was, we asked what was taking so long. He said he would check. Still no food. We have enjoyed Ivy in the past, and were excited to have brunch. One of the meals came out cold, but as we had tickets to a show in Chicago, we did not send it back. You open at 11:00 - we were there at 11:00. Our food came to us finally at 12:15. I do not think that it takes that long to make an omlete or french toast. We had to ask one of the employees that clears the tables for salt and pepper and butter because although we asked our server for it, it never appeared. Not sure what the problem was yesterday, but I do not think that we will be visiting Ivy in the near future. We were very disappointed in the service, and lack of attention. We were not even offered an apology for the mishap. In this economy, I would think that attention to your customers would be a must.
